South Metro Miracle League: Mini Golf

Every child deserves a chance to play. Mini golf is a past time for kids of all ages. However, children with physical disabilities who use wheelchairs or mobility devices often miss out on the fun and excitement because most mini golf courses are too narrow, steep or filled with barriers. South Metro Miracle League, along with Brackett’s Crossing Country Club, Appro Development and the City of Lakeville, are on a mission to make mini golf available to kids of all abilities with a full accessible 9-hole mini golf course in Lakeville.

2019-07-20 Miracle Field - GroundbreakingYou can make a difference today! Help put a smile on the faces of children who have never had the opportunity to participate in a sport that so many take for granted. Together, we can make Lakeville fun for EVERYONE!

Pan-o-Prog: 2017 Fun Things To Do

Looking for something fun to do? Why not check out Panorama of Progress, known to locals as Pan-O-Prog, in Lakeville, MN from Monday July 4 through Sunday July 10, 2017. There is a lot to choose from with over 50 celebrations, events and activities that take place the week of July 4.

Since I moved here four years ago, I have heard every year about this event but have never been able to attend anything at Pan-O-Prog. This year I plan to enjoy some of the festivities and now just need to decide where I will start! Unfortunately, I will not be able to enjoy the 4th of July celebration which includes live music, inflatables and, of course, fireworks to be held at Lakeville North High School, but it sounds like a wonderful night. I’m not worried though because the fun continues all week with games, pageants, food trucks, a carnival, Cruise Night (classic car show) and a Grand Parade and that is just some of what is going on all week in Lakeville, MN. Since our offices at APPRO are right around the corner from all the action in downtown Lakeville, I will be sure to pop over to the Street Market that is happening from July 6-10, then to the Craft and Bake Sale at the Heritage Center and the Summer Art Sale at the Lakeville Area Arts Center, both from July 7-8. I look forward to seeing what I may want to add to my home décor and what baked goods I have to try. I have a 12 year old that may want to try out the Beach Bash – for Teens at Antlers Park for ages 11-14.  Not to be forgotten as fun for the whole family, including mine, is the Fun Fair Carnival at the Lakeville Area Arts Center Parking Lot from July 7-9 and the Grand Parade on July 8 downtown.

Are you going to Pan-O-Prog? Maybe we’ll see you there!!!

Lakeville Community Events – APPRO & CERRON Sponsors

Lakeville Community Events – 2014 Lakeville Chamber Golf Tournament & 2014 Taste of Lakeville

By Paige Thompson Recent Lakeville Community Events gave the team at APPRO Development and CERRON Commercial Properties the opportunity to support our local community and have a lot of fun in the process!

2014 Lakeville Chamber Golf Tournament

APPRO-CERRON_Sponsor-2nd_Hole_at_Wilds-1.jpgAPPRO and CERRON were bronze sponsors of this year’s golf tournament, which allowed us to be a sponsor on hole #2 at The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake, MN. Kathy Morse, Andrea Kaderlik and I had the opportunity to be at the sponsor table where we offered golfers a chance to enter a drawing to win a pair of MN Gopher Hockey tickets. By playing our “Sledgehammer/Mega Golf” game – a combination of bowling, croquet and putting – players had fun trying to knock a bowling ball with a wedge/sledgehammer under a wicket/sign. We witnessed some unique styles, as you will see from the following pics taken. Our team had a great time meeting or re-connecting with members of our community at this annual event. Later in the day, a few of our team members, Jim Connelly with guests Norm Oberto and Mark Becker from Imperial Plastics, Andrea Kaderlik and I attended the dinner and drew the names of Kevin Jenn, a manager with Target Technology Services, and Mark Priore, an attorney with Priore Law Offices, as winners of the two pairs of Gopher Hockey tickets.

2014 Taste of Lakeville

Taste_of_Lakeville_2014.jpgAPPRO and CERRON also had the opportunity to be one of many community sponsors for the 2014 Taste of Lakeville. This Lakeville Rotary Club event has become an annual tradition for many (12 years running). A few of our team members (myself included), were able to make it out to this event on May 15, 2014. There was a silent and live auction with proceeds benefiting the Lakeville Heritage Center and Miracle (Baseball) Field, live bands as part of the entertainment, a wall of wine raffle and wine tasting, and of course…the food tasting. For $35 ahead of time (or $45 at the door) – this is an incredible deal!! Not to mention – A LOT OF FUN!! If you were not able to make it out to this event this year, I strongly encourage you to do so next year! Not only is it a lot of fun, you are helping our local Lakeville community at the same time. See more information about the Taste of Lakeville HERE.

Airlake Industrial Park’s Neighbor, First Park to welcome FedEx facility to Lakeville, MN. The new 94,000 square foot industrial facility is great news for First Park and neighboring Airlake Industrial Park, the second largest industrial park in the state of Minnesota. The campus will begin with three buildings and an additional twelve acres for potential future expansion, in addition to bringing as many as 250 jobs to the city of Lakeville, MN.

The new FedEx facility is planned to be located on the southeast corner of Dodd and CR-70 (215th St W). President of APPRO Development, a longtime Airlake Industrial Park& Lakeville area developer and Lakeville Economic Development Commission member, Jack Matasosky said, “It is with pleasure we welcome FedEx and we are thrilled they chose Lakeville for their new site! This is a benefit not just for the area industrial parks, but also for the city of Lakeville. We are seeing a lot of activity in Lakeville right now and it’s just great to see a project of this scope get off the ground!”

More information on this activity can be found in a recent Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal article, “FedEx plans new 250-person warehouse for suburban worker shift” released, September 25, 2014.

It was as great evening of fun, food, bowling and fundraising. Representing Team APPRO & CERRON were (in alphabetical order): Andrea, Casie, Kathy, Kris, Paige, and Sandra

While we didn’t take a trophy home, we did have a lot of fun participating in this worthy cause. Pan-O-Prog – Lakeville, MN: Flashback Thursday!

Pan-O-Prog is going on in Lakeville, MN – Check Out our Flashback Thursday pics!

Pan-O-Prog Time - Flashback to Airlake Industrial Park - Maynard JohnsonPan-o-Prog is an annual community event in Lakeville, Minnesota – starting way back in 1967! APPRO has been around for more than 27 years, with ties to the Airlake Industrial Park, dating back to the mid-1960’s. We have a few great flashback photos for you to enjoy from that era, just about the time Pan-O-Prog got its start!

Jack Matasosky, our fearless leader at APPRO Development & CERRON Commercial Properties, started working with Hitchcock Industries back in 1978. Hitchcock Industries started the Airlake Industrial Park (originally located in what is now the Aircraft Resource Center (ARC) building). We thought it would be fun to share a few of the many pictures we have from around that time, including the parade float, ribbon cutting at the Airlake Airport (be sure to get out there this weekend to see the WWII military aircraft), and a couple of pics of Maynard Johnson, original co-founder of Hitchcock Industries. Most of these pictures are circa 1966-1967.

Be sure to check out the festivities going on now through Sunday, July 13th to celebrate the Panorama of Progress – “Pan-O-Prog” – happening all around Lakeville, MN. If you get the chance, be sure to stop out the Airlake Airport to see the planes. Our company had the good fortune to be there from the start, and has helped to build some of the original hangars you will see there, as well as the buildings in the Airlake Industrial Park you will pass on your way to the airport.

We hope you enjoy the flashback as much as we did!
